Drops of paint are placed on a liquid carrier layer. They expand on the surface. The borderline, which is smooth at the beginning, often like a perfect circle, changes into a multitude of fractal patterns. The variety of the patterns results from the different surface tension of the pigments as well as the different binders and additives of the color substances.
